Denzili / Pamukkale Transfer
Pamukkale district of Denizli is located in the west of Turkey and is home to the world-famous Pamukkale Travertine. The district has been home to different civilizations throughout history and therefore has a culturally rich past.
Pamukkale means "castle like cotton" in Turkish. This name refers to the whiteness and soft texture of travertines. Pamukkale Travertines were formed as a result of thermal water depositing limestone for centuries. These formations occur when hot water sources release calcium carbonate sediments. As a result, eye-catching white-colored terraces appear. These natural formations are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The Ancient City of Hierapolis, located in Pamukkale, is also one of the places worth visiting. Hierapolis was an important Roman city in ancient times and currently offers historical ruins to visitors. Here you can see structures such as the ancient theater, baths, temples and a colonnaded street.
Pamukkale is also famous for its thermal waters. These waters offer health benefits for many people and have become a tourist attraction for visitors.
In addition to being an important destination for tourists, Pamukkale is also an important tourist center for locals. Tourist services such as accommodation, restaurants and shopping have developed in this region. Pamukkale is a tourist-attracting destination throughout the year, but it experiences an influx of visitors especially in the summer months.
